This website discusses the study on the effectiveness of low-frequency magnetic therapy using the ALMAG-02  in individuals diagnosed with pneumonia associated with COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted global health, with a significant number of patients suffering from pneumonia caused by the virus. 

Despite ongoing treatment, pneumonia caused by COVID-19 can lead to complications that can impact a patient’s respiratory, cardiovascular, and mental health. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of low-frequency magnetotherapy in the complex medical rehabilitation of patients with pneumonia in the convalescence phase.

The study included 52 patients who had suffered from pneumonia caused by COVID-19, with an average age of 56.2±5.7 years. The first group (n=30) received low-frequency magnetotherapy using the ALMAG-02 apparatus daily for 20 minutes, a course of 10–12 procedures. The second group (n=22) received therapy based on temporary clinical recommendations for COVID-19. 

The evaluation method included spirometry, chest excursion, rehabilitation routing scale, quality of life questionnaire, Borg scale for patient assessment of exercise tolerance, ECG, and oxygen saturation in the blood.

The study’s findings suggest that low-frequency magnetotherapy can contribute to the regression of respiratory disorders, reduce anxiety and depression, and improve the patient’s quality of life. Therefore, it can be concluded that low-frequency magnetotherapy can be a safe and effective method of physical rehabilitation in patients recovering from COVID-19 pneumonia.
